2nd January, Full Moon in Cancer

This 2nd January, the moon becomes full in the house of Cancer. 

It is a very peculiar lunation: it's the fist full moon of the year (one of two we will see in January), it's a super moon and the satellite is finally coming back to its natural domicile: the Cancer.

This zodiac sign rules our emotions, the subconscious, our capability of loving and healing. A proper inner journey which will make us question our relationships, communicate with our dream world and read its signs.

This lunation raises against Saturn in Capricorn: it is the time to connect with our soul, put in the shadows by the rigorous saturnine energies. It is the right time to question what is right for us and not what is expected from us.

Particularly indicated are hydromancy, meditation and dream interpretation, in order to connect with our subconscious and set up the basis for the rest of the year.

The goddess that represents the loving and the feminine side of this full moon at its best is Demeter, the Mother Earth. 

Sister of Zeus, she is the goddess of wheat and agriculture, ruler of the seasons and protector of the fields.

Considering her earthy and motherly aspects (see the myth of Persephone), she's the fertile archetype of the Triple Goddess and of this zodiac sign.
