The 101 Wishes Ritual

In this period of the year, a time of closures and budgeting, it is good practice to set our intentions for the coming year, focusing on what we want to achieve in the near future.

On the web and in the books there are innumerable types of rituals aimed at propitiating the coming year, all very valid because they activate and concentrate our intentions, but one in particular has caught my attention, perhaps because it is a bit more elaborate than others .

This is the 101 Wishes Ritual, a focusing technique that originates in Oriental religions and is based on the Law of Attraction, which is taken up and proposed by Igor Sibaldi, to develop resources and personal motivation to achieve one's goals.

We often have problems wishing, we think we desire too much and we think we don't deserve it or we don't have the means to get what we want: nothing more wrong! In this case we are the limit, we must learn to dare more.

This exercise that I propose will teach you to open your hearts to the infinite energy of the Universe's abundance, to make you understand that we can tap into it every time we need it and that there really is something for all of us!

HOW DOES IT WORK:

First of all you will need to get two notebooks, one will serve as a draft and one for the fair copy, and a new pen.

On the draft notebook you will have to write as many as 150 wishes. Yes they are many, but we said that we have to overdo it, so start and write straight away. You won't have to write everything right away, in the meantime you can start and then continue whenever other wishes will come into your mind.

There are rules that need to be respected in the form in which the wishes are written:

- Begin the desires with "I want". Not "I would" or "wish", we must transmit a powerful message to the universe, we use the present time.

- It is forbidden to use the term “don't", for the same concept as before, the more clear and better we will be.

For example: Instead of writing "I don't want to get sick" write "I want to be healthy".

- Each wish must have a maximum of 14 words: these are the words that can be said with a single breath, it will serve to be more concise.

- Avoid expressing "serial" wishes

For example: "I want a blue car" "I want a red car".

- Avoid to request money: you need money to buy things you want, ask for things directly and skip a ride!

- Don’t compare with other people.

For example: "I want a house as big as Lisa's"

Focus on your desire, if you make comparisons you might attract the problems of the other person      to yourself.

- Avoid abstract or unmeasurable desires.

For example: "I want to be happy" Happy as? for what?

- Do not use nicknames or diminutives.

- Do not express desires for other people, only the other knows what he really wants, do not interfere with free will. If you want you can express “the want to help the other to do a certain thing".

- Avoid desires related to romantic and sexual relationships.

Once you have written all 150 wishes, following the previous instructions, in the draft notebook, start copying them in fair copy on the other notebook.

You will need to copy 101 of them, choosing from those you consider the most important, writing a maximum of 4 per page, and leaving some space between one and the other.

In this way, when the desires begin to be realized, you can delete them with a line and replace them gradually with the remaining ones of the 150 you wrote.

Every morning you will have to take the notebook, which you will keep close at hand, and you will have to re-read all 101 desires, setting the energy in motion, as if you wanted to remind the universe every day what you wanted. While doing this, it will be very useful to visualize each wish as if it had already happened.

WHY 101?

 101 is a sacred number, the number 1 represents the new beginnings, the creation, while the number 0 represents the divine power of the universe, what comes before the 1 that is the human being.

The number 100 is a complete, perfect and finite number, adding the number 1 is like adding a window to new creations, the story that continues, the possibility of further improvement.

The number 101 therefore represents the initiation of a new path, enlightenment, divine help to achieve evolution, spiritual awakening through an optimistic mentality.
