January 31st, Full Moon in Leo

On January 31st, at 2:27 pm (Italian time), the moon becomes full under the sign of Leo.

We will have a very special lunation, as it is, first of all, a Super Moon, the third in a row, a phenomenon that happens when the moon is at the minimum distance from the earth (perigee) so it actually appears larger than 13% and more bright, the lucky ones who live in Central Asia, North America, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia, can admire the phenomenon of the lunar eclipse, in which our satellite takes on a red color, also called the Blood Moon.

In addition, this moon is the second one of January, for this reason called Blue Moon (In this article we explain the particularities of the Blue Moon)

This sign will help us to free ourselves from the karmic weights of our previous lives, so it is a good moment for introspection, for the analysis of our personality, to solve the problems we have with ourselves. Connecting with our inner self then, will help us to calm the mind.

The energy of Leo will bring to life the romanticism of our life, which is very useful if we think that soon it will be Valentine Day! It could be a valid moment to make that act of courage that we have been waiting for a long time, with a moon in Leo so powerful it is not really the case to back down.

The fire of the Lion feeds the forge of creativity, so it's time to start all those artistic projects that for a while we are putting aside, let's find the time to express ourselves through something that will expand our culture: “Creating” is the keyword for this lunation.

The goddess who fully represents this type of moon is Sekhmet, the Egyptian goddess depicted with the head of a lioness.
Her name means "The Powerful", is often depicted with a red dress and the solar disk shining above her head, to represent the destructive nature of that star.
Goddess of destruction and war, but also (as often happens among destructive deities, such as Kali) benevolent Goddess of healing, protectress of doctors and shamans, Lady of terror but also Lady of Life.
