22nd August, Full Blue Moon in Aquarius: Sovereignty.

Yesterday afternoon, at 14:00 CET, we had a very special moon: a Blue Moon in Aquarius, the pivotal point of this lunar month under the sign of the eleventh sign of the zodiac (we had the first full moon on the 24th July).

We will have the next Blue Moon in 2024, a truly exceptional astronomical and astrological event.

The Blue Moon acts as a catalyst for Aquarian energies, with the added thrust of a conjunction between the Moon and Jupiter: we feel an urgent desire to take back our freedom and make radical changes that will shape our near future; freeing us from the overwhelming past that prevents us from revealing our true selves to the world.

This desire for recognition is further amplified by the Leo-Aquarius axis between the Sun and the Moon. Despite being diametrically opposite signs, both Leo and Aquarius want to be recognised for their uniqueness: Leo more from a personal point of view, while Aquarius is mainly aimed at collective growth.

Furthermore, yesterday's full moon was at the 29° of Aquarius, the last degree before transiting into the twelfth house of Pisces: when a celestial body is in this position, it indicates a culmination point before moving between an archetype and the other.

Both Aquarius and Pisces are collective signs, connected to the evolutionary dynamics of humanity as a whole: the first regulates scientific and technological innovations, while the second regulates spirituality and our subconscious. It is a small taste of what awaits us in the coming years, a key aspect for the community: the integration between science and spirituality, an aspect that we have already dealt with in some of our articles but which we will resume soon in an article fully dedicated to this topic.

(In the meantime, you can read our articles under "Magical Ethics").

Uranus and Saturn, the dominant planets of Aquarius (the last in retrograde motion in this sign, moreover), are still in quadrature with each other; making us even more anxious.

But this Full Moon will serve as a relief valve, allowing us to release all the frustrations of the last few days: the important thing is to channel the energies in the right way.

What should we expect at this time?

On a large scale, we will see tensions in different parts of the world: more and more people will want to see changes, they will fight for their freedom and for what they believe is right.(Unfortunately this will also lead to an increase in polarisation and abuses of power)

One example above all, we have seen what is happening recently in Afghanistan.

From a personal point of view, we will finally have the impetus to break the chains of what oppresses us: a toxic relationship (romantic or friendly), a stressful job, etc. As seen above, Saturn is in retrograde motion in Aquarius so it could put us in front of a situation that makes us suffer and make us face it forcibly, in pure Saturnian style.

In conclusion, the Blue Moon in Aquarius gives us the opportunity to make radical changes that will shape our future, at any time we can exercise our free will and create our destiny.
